Why Catalina Macaws Are So Special

The Catalina Macaw is a hybrid macaw associated with the Blue-and-Gold Macaw and Scarlet Macaw. Their colourful appearance can vary from bird to bird, which means every Catalina Macaw can have its own distinctive combination of colours.

They are large, intelligent parrots that require substantially more care, attention, space, and commitment than smaller companion birds.

Their intelligence is one of their most remarkable characteristics. With appropriate care and positive training, macaws can learn behaviours, sounds, routines, and forms of vocal mimicry.

Zebs has already been socialised and has basic vocal mimicry experience, giving her a foundation for continued interaction and training with her new family.

Is Zebs Suitable for Your Home?

A Catalina Macaw is a significant long-term commitment. These are large, intelligent, active parrots that require daily interaction, enrichment, appropriate housing, and responsible care.
